Early Stump Doll
She has been aged and grunged real dark! Her black face
has a wide sculpted nose
and crudely stitched eyes and mouth. She is wearing
different brown calicos and homespuns, including her
bonnet.
This extremely primitive doll has been rag stuffed and
weighted to stand. She has a drab brown hemp cord
wrapping
around her with a bit of aged cheesecloth tucked
in! Approx. 9.5".

"HEART PIN CUSHION"
This pin cusion has been made from a wonderful nubby antique flour sack!! The "make-do" patch is the original!! Just love these old things!! I hand stitched a primitive heart to the front with drabby brown antique string. In the corner is a bit of walnut dyed cheesecloth with a rusty safety pin added. It has been sawdust filled for a great old feel. The bottom has been crudely stitched closed. 6"x5.75". $28.00 |
