Mr. Frost

Mr. Frost is handmade using nubby homespun fabric. He has been heavily rubbed with my special cinnamon and spice mixture. Standing at 10 inches he will surely make your heart melt! He has french knots for his eyes and mouth. A simple little stick for a nose. His hat and scarf are made from barn red wool fabrics. He has three rusty bells down is tummy and a tiny rusty bell on his hat. Frosty's hat is trimmed with quilt cotton batting. His broom is securely attached, I have added a vintage tag. New England Primer Snowman

For your consideration I have made a New England Primer Snowman. He is 17" of pure holiday delight!! Made from muslin that has been painted sanded and then grubbied with my special spice mixture. I have sewn on a vintage 1800's primer lesson. If you look close, you can see I have added just a tiny sprinkle of glitter to each tiny snowflake on primer. Snowman's face is all embroidered and I have added a simple stick for his nose. He has a scarf made of felted wool, with an added rusty bell and pine. He holds in his hand a snowflake made from a vintage snow poem, with a touch of sparkle! Made from a wonderful new pattern by Chris of Walnut Ridge Primitives. Primitive Ophelia Angels

I just love how these primitive angels turned out! Ophelia Angels are made from osnaburg fabric that has been painted sanded and then grubbied. Their faces have wool accents, please note their mouths are both much darker than what my picture shows. Their hair is made from sheeps wool. They hold in their arms a wreath made from rusty wire, preserved sweet annie and a vintage little Christmas bulb. I have also wrapped a little piece of vintage garland around the tops. I put my little bottle brush trees in front of their sweet little wings....oops!! :) Their wings are made from reproduction fabrics in sweet barn red and blue. Old Fashioned Angel Make -Dos

 

I am so happy how these Old Fashioned Angel Make Do's turned out!! Standing at just under 12" I have attached these securely to vintage posts that I found antiquing with my sister in Minnesota. They are very old with chippy paint......just love them. Their bodies are made from muslin, that has been painted, sanded and aged. Their simple little blouses are made from osnaburg, topped with a rusty bell. Their skirts and wings are made from aged burlap. I have added a sprinkle of vintage mica flakes on their wings. I made a star touched with glitter to top them off. In their hands they hold a piece of vintage garland and a tiny little vintage silver bulb.
