~Hear Ye: Apothecary Bottles and Carrying Caddy for Sale~
I found this wonderful caddy & six bottles some time ago and knew I wanted to use them for making a unique flower holder. Wouldn’t it look wonderful with a Spring blossom in them, like one daffodil in each, or one iris per bottle? Or perhaps, for bringing in one branch each from outside for forcing, like forsythia? Each bottle has a waterproof image from the Cries of London that I have applied and finished. There is a caption below each, describing the ware for sale. There are three men and three women, each of a different trade. Here is a description for each bottle: ~A man with ropes of hard “onyons” on a long stick ~A woman with new potatoes being carried in a pushcart ~A young man carrying rabbits on a pole ~A woman with fair lemons and oranges in basket on her head and in basket on her arm ~A woman with fat chickens carried in baskets on pole on shoulders and in hand ~A woman with ripe asparagus bundled in basket on her head The metal caddy for transporting the bottles measures 15.5” tall by 2.75” in width. Each bottle measures 6.75” in height by 2” across. Every bottle opening measures .75” in width; it is 1.5” including the lip. Each bottle stands 7” in the caddy tray. There are some bubbles in the glass and there are no markings on the bottle bottoms

~Hear Ye: Paper Ornaments for Purchase~
The image I used for the ornament is of a little girl wearing her hair in finger curl ringlets. She has on a dress with puffed sleeves and is wearing little black shoes on her feet. An olde friend, perhaps the Mother cat, is seated proudly and watchfully to her left. The little girl is cradling the new friend, a kitten, while holding its front paw, something I’ve done many times, as I’m sure you have too if you are a cat lover. The ornament measures 3.5” top of girl’s head to her toe. The widest part of the ornament is 2.75” from the cat’s side to the dress side. The Mama cat measures 1.75” in height.
Set of 2 is $4.00 plus first class shipping in an envelope |
