~Claire Germfask~
With the coming of fall & the shorter days, when the
normal folk think of pumpkins, sunflowers, gourds and corn stalks,
the witches of New Bleking forests contemplate the October fest, and watch
from darkened hiding places, with delight & muffled
cackles, spells to be cast, ghoulish pranks to be devised, months after the
folk tilled the grounds to plant seeds with the moon, to pumpkins, gourds,
& corn. The harvest season will be on us, all to soon.
Of the Germfask haunt, meet Claire, a shelf sitter, drawn
without pattern, pinch stitched nose, stitched mouth, 2 old mismatched button
eyes, and wisps of raw flax hair under her hand sewn heavy grain sack witches
hat, heavily grunged and stiffened. 13" tall, weighted body

~Past Life of a Quilt~
Spending a day removing the layers of an old
quilt long past prime, I found the soft pale taupe hue'd stuffing of
the quilt to be old cotton batting. Display in a basket or use the soft
remnants to make sheep folkart.
One gallon bag $15 + $2.50 SH.

~Jerudath Germfask~
Deep in the forests of New Bleking, the evil Montrose,
cast a spell on Jerudath Germfask, resulting in Jerudath having one black
old button eye, and one white old button eye. Yet, that same affliction,
gives "Uda" the earthly trait of separating good from bad, and
among the other unseen folk of the forest, she is well respected for her
visions.
With a pinched nose, wisps of raw flax hair escape below
her witches cone hat, hand stitched, painted, and aged. 13" tall, on
a glass base.

I must confess a fondness for sugar cones, having many of
them of my own sitting around. Most are of brown sugar. This white sugar
cone is 8" tall, and is a hefty 2 pounds. Held in aged cheesecloth,
tied with darkened store bobbin string.
Cone $28+SH
Wax corn hand poured in cast iron mold, laying on flax 'silk' and dried
husks. 4/$20 +SH
